1995 Softball History

In 1995, there were 26 softball girls.  The Bulldogettes had fashioned a fine record of 14 wins and 10 losses.  This record was skewed due to the fact that in the middle of the season, they discovered that a few individuals had accepted t-shirts during a summer tournament and were deemed ineligible and we were forced to forfeit the wins in which they had a part of.  Beyond what the U.I.L. stated there record as, the on-field record was a shining 21 and 3.  Entering Bi-District, the girls felt they had a score to settle with Clyde, who had beaten them in 1994.  Clyde again got the best of them and advanced on in the playoffs with a hard fought 4 to 3 win in extra innings.  After the game, a statement was made by Clyde's coach, "Neither one of these teams deserved to lose today!  Coahoma had a good team!"  Coach Randolph said," I feel very fortunate to have been able to coach these ladies.  I feel that I didn't just get to coach a team, but I was blessed with the chance to coach "THE TEAM!"
