The 2000, 2002, 2005, and 2006 teams were state-semifinalists. The 1996, 1999, and 2003 teams all played in the state finals. The 1998 team brought home the gold medal as State Champions! Coahoma and Eula have met in the playoffs in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2003. Each time Coahoma was victorious. 2003 could see the long time rivalry end as Eula dropped to Class A in 2004-2005. In 1998, Coahoma played to the first ever, extra inning game and also the first tournament to be played at McCombs Field, on the University of Texas Campus. There has been 3 head coaches at Coahoma, each taking a team to state. Danny Randolph was the coach in 1996, Robby Dickenson coached in 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005, and Robert Royer coach in 1999 and 2000. Dicky Stone, Assistant Coach, has outlasted them all. In the 13 years that Coahoma softball has been here, the girls have never lost district. Every year, all of the girls have worked hard to maintain the title of District Champs. |
