My son is in the Navy, his chest so big and
proud...
He stands for our country, strong and loud...
He takes his post and pays his dues...
He says he is there for me and you.
The American Flag hovering above...
Filling his heart with pride and love...
He is a spirit, confident and brave...
A tear in his eye as he looks at the waves.
Far from hone, away from us all...
In the wind of the seas he can hear us call...
He dreams of the time that he can come home...
His heart filled with hope, but still all alone.
He looks at the stars during the long night
watch...
He imagines he is home, his girl, what a catch...
This newly wed couple so far apart...
But he dreams because she is in his heart.
He is tall and prideful, stubborn and
strong...
He knows that this journey will surely be long...
He lives to serve his country, the Red, White and Blue...
He says he is there for me and you...
