Seeing you from down here,
I know I shall have no fear.
All worries go away.
Don't leave me astray.

As I begin to grow,
It all seems so slow.
Just learning to drive,
Starting to come alive.

Graduated from high school,
Everything seemed so cool.
Taking on responsibility,
Moving to a big city.

Still a child inside,
Grown person outside.
The world falling around me,
Fighting to get free.

Looking for salvation,
About to fight for the nation.
Out country, the land of the free,
Could this all depend on me?

Our nation under attack,
What am I gonna pack?
I feel so cold,
But I must be bold.

Am i prepared for this?
What about my friend Kris?
Seems like only yesterday,
Knocking on the door, asking me if he could play.

A band of brothers,
I would choose no others.
Crying without tears,
All having the same fears.

Walking the streets with pride,
No longer trying to hide.
The past I've put behind me.
It's only the future I see.

It is built on self confidence,
Our countries independence.
For our freedom I will fight,
Through day and through night.

For my family and friends I leave behind,
Keep this one in mind...
If it were not for you,
I could never make it through.
